About Me: Corey McCool

I am an Author, a Consultant, and a Neurodivergent Strategist

I have a thirty-year head start on the question, "What do I do now?" One of the many questions asked by late-diagnosed Autistic adults.

I privately self-diagnosed as Autistic at age 13 (later confirmed professionally) and realized early on that the standard operating procedures of the linear world were incompatible with my wiring.

Rather than trying to "fix" myself, I spent the next three decades running a private experiment:

How do you engineer a life that works for a high-masking, cyclical mind in a rigid, linear world?

Field-Tested

My expertise is not theoretical; it is operational.

I served in the US Air Force, where I applied my neurodivergent pattern-recognition skills to high-stakes logistics problems. My ability to see systems where others saw chaos earned me the Air Force’s Innovative Development through Employee Awareness (IDEA) Award, twice.

I learned that the same "spiky" energy profile that made standard schooling difficult made me an asset in complex environments. Outside of the military, I've worked with professional athletes, high level executives, and content creators in order to optimize their day and teach them to intentionally iterate and design each aspect of their neurodivergent lives.

The Philosophy of a Chickadee

Today, I am the author of the upcoming book, Philosophy of a Chickadee: A Neurodivergent Strategy for a Linear World.

This work moves beyond the trauma to offer a biomimetic framework for living. Based on the survival strategies of the Black-Capped Chickadee, a bird that survives winter not by migrating, but by executing a reliable and repeatable system, my systems are rooted in routine. I teach others how to translate their needs into a life they can love, as well as a language the rest of the world can understand.

Consulting & Speaking

I currently consult with private clients, businesses, and nonprofits to help them decode employee working styles. I help organizations move past awareness and into strategy, building high-performance partnerships that unlock the potential of their neurodivergent talent.

Content & Advocacy

I am also the producer of "This Week in Neurodivergent History," a video series that reframes our past as a catalog of successes rather than disorders, proving that our minds have always been essential to human progress.

I am a husband, a father, a veteran, and a lifelong seeker.
